Dover Farmstead embodies the spirit of regenerative agriculture by rhythmically rotating Dexter cattle through fresh paddocks, mirroring the natural grazing patterns of roaming animals. Each pasture rotation is carefully timed based on grass growth, the necessary length of stay, and the degree of soil disturbance desired. This approach allows the land to breathe and heal, as the cattle naturally fertilize and prepare the soil for new growth.
Our Dexters enjoy more than just lush grazing; they are provided with abundant water, free-choice minerals, and, of course, all the back scratches they could want. By caring for both soil and stock in this way, Dover Farmstead not only sustains its land but also nurtures a balanced, thriving ecosystem.
